Description
A great variation on traditional guacamole to have on a hot fall day when pomegranates are in season.

Ingredients
| 1⁄3 | c | white onion |
| 2 | serrano chiles | |
| 1 | t | salt (course) |
| 4 | avocado (california) | |
| 2 | T | lime juice |
| 3⁄4 | pear | |
| 3⁄4 | c | grapes |
| 3⁄4 | pomegranate seeds |
Instructions
Quarter the pomegranate. Fill a large mixing bowl with water and peel the arils (seeds) away from the rind underneath the water.
Peel and dice pear.
Puree the onions, chiles and salt in a food processor.
Mash the avocado in rough chunks and stir in the lime juice.
Gently fold pomegranate arils, pear, grapes, and onion paste into the avocado.
Sprinkle with extra pomegranate seeds if you'd like and serve.
