Personal Training Results - Mandie

When people see me they are blown away by my results.

- Mandie Parnell - Gonzales, LA

I've put everything I've got into this profession. I love it. And as you can see here I've got a little "social proof" that Artisan Fitness trains REAL people and gets REAL results.

Now if you're thinking that she probably trained 10 hours a week and had nothing else to do, then you're completely wrong. Lets look at some of the things she had to overcome to do this:

  1. She has four kids to take care of (cook for, clean up after, etc.)
  2. One of her children is a "special needs" child who's often sick and wakes her up at night
  3. She has a medical condition (I can't mention details - client confidentiality) that makes it hard for her to lose fat
  4. She works as a manager for a busy granite counter-top company
  5. She could only train with me 3x per week
  6. She works in an environment where people regularly offered her junk food and fast food

That is a serious list of things that could have sabotaged her training! So lets take a look at what she did that made her so successful:

  1. She took a photo before she started, i.e. she assumed she'd eventually be looking at an awesome "after" photo. Talk about focusing on the end goal!
  2. She had the emotional support of her husband. I'm going to lose potential clients for saying this, but if your spouse or significant-other isn't going to help you, the chances of you succeeding are very slim.
  3. She wrote down her goals and used a few tricks from my Lifestyle and Diet Manual that all my clients get after they sign up.
  4. She didn't worry about being perfect, she was purposeful. "Perfect" people freak out when they make a mistake and just give up. "Purposeful" people make the same mistakes and get right back to it!
  5. She stuck to the plan - even when it didn't always work right away. People think they'll see instant overnight results because they read too many garbage fitness ads.
  6. She lifted weights WITHOUT getting big and bulky! Yeah you read it correctly! For all the articles in fitness magazines that tell women it's OK to lift, I STILL see people perpetuate the myth that women get big and bulky from lifting.
  7. She did two short (20min) workouts at home (when she had the time) in addition to training with me.
  8. Absolutely no long runs on the treadmill or anywhere for that matter. I see women spending hours doing cardio at my gym and get very little results (I've seen maybe one exception to this)... that doesn't mean it won't work at all, but why not use something that works even better?

mandie_side So what was her reward?

  1. Slimmer hips, stomach, and thighs!
  2. Going from a size 16 to a size 6!
  3. A new wardrobe!
  4. A sense of accomplishment that very few people ever get!
